SUMMARY:'Rayne'ing Medals Anniversary 2024 - 5km laps\, up to 6 hours
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the return to The Flitch Way at Rayne in 2023 for the anniversary of our very first H&T event six years ago! FIVE entry options for this event in 2023. In addition to the marathon and 6hr timed event\, we have a 5km\, 10km and Half Marathon option for you. One loop of 5km is all you need to be a finisher and earn that bespoke H&T medal and goody bag!  \nThere is a new route update – you can choose which way you want to run after every loop of 5km! We will have two courses marked out for 5km loops in either direction! You can run the same loop only or run them alternately and make it a 10km loop with and aid station at 5km every time. \nNot been able to get to a race when the medal was too much bling to miss? Here is your chance to choose the medal that you have your eye on from one of our previous events.  \nThere are two difficult decisions at this event\, which way to go next\, and which medal to choose from a selection of our bespoke medals!\nYou can expect a supercharged aid station with all the usual H&T trimmings at the end of every 5km loop. \nStretching for 15 miles through the Essex countryside between Braintree and Bishops Stortford is The Flitch Way. It is the site of the original Bishops Stortford to Braintree Branch line\, a single-track railway\, and was opened in 1869 and finally closed in 1969. Nowadays it is an important place for wildlife\, and a perfect place for your next running achievement\, whatever your chosen distance! \nMostly up or down\, and sometimes almost flat\, traffic-free\, out and back course on the hard-packed trail.. The loops will be 5.3km in distance and so you will need to do 2 for a 10km\, 4 for a half marathon\, 8 laps to cover full marathon distance\, and then if you choose to continue in the 6hr event\, the clock will be your only limiting factor!

SUMMARY:Remembrance Sunday - 6.55mile laps up to 6 hours
DESCRIPTION:Join us on the 12th of November 2023 for a truly memorable Remembrance Sunday special event with a unique atmosphere. We will have an 11 am silence within the race itself and it would be great to have the entire field respecting this and taking a slight breather to remember those military personnel who have given their lives over the years in service to our great country. As we did in the previous 5 years\, we will have the Last Post played live before the event starts.  \nTHE COURSE \nThe undulating\, traffic-free\, looped trail course\, will give you the opportunity to run a trauil marathon or as many or few laps as you wish\, within the time limit of 6 hours. The loops will be 10.54km/6.55m in distance and so you will need to complete 2 laps for a half marathon\, 4 laps to cover full marathon distance\, and then if you choose to continue\, the clock will be your only limiting factor!

SUMMARY:Finish Line Frolic - 5km laps for 6 up to hours
DESCRIPTION:Fancy some summer fun\, and most importantly raising some money for a really important local sporting charity that continues to support sport in our local communities\, the Finish Line Fund? \nFinish Line Fund was established in 2014\, following the tragic passing of Nick Palmer of Flyers Southend Running Group\, at the Southend Half Marathon. They became a registered charity in 2018 ( charity number 1179170 ) with their objectives being:- The preservation and protection of good health for the public benefit in East Essex\, United Kingdom in particular but not exclusively by: \n1) The provision of grants to runners and/or their families who have been affected by serious injury\, disability or death whilst participating in the sport of running. \n2) Promoting running and other sports at an amateur level in Southend-on-Sea\, United Kingdom\, and surrounding areas by organising running events and providing equipment and sponsorship to sporting clubs in the local areas to promote health and well being. \nThe Finish Line Frolic will consist of a traffic-free looped trail course and the event will give you the opportunity to run as many or as few laps as you wish\, within the time limit of 6 hours. The loops will  be a shade over 5km in distance and so you will need to complete 4 laps for a half marathon\, 8 laps to cover full marathon distance\, and then if you choose to continue\, the clock will be your only limiting factor!  \nWith an aid station at the end of every lap\, you will have the ability to fuel yourself without having to carry everything you might need. You may leave a bag with your specific requirements at the aid station\, for you to raid as you see fit!  Alternatively\, there will be flapjacks\, fruit and nuts\, and also water and squash\, should you feel like a change!  \nPrices £37.50-£39.50
