At last the weather seems to have turned a corner! It was good to see so many at Wednesdays club night, also the new (potential!) members who came along. Megan’s Saturday morning beginners group has been a success with good turnouts and its good to see so many club members willing to help out.

This Sunday sees the last round of the 53-12 X-Country league at Hadleigh, Suffolk. It was a slow start to the season, numbers were down on previous years, but since we held our run at Gosfield, there seems to be more turning out and supporting the club. Lets see if next year we can get the HRR team spirit going early, and press for one of the promotion spots into Pool A. A big thank you goes to Andy Carter for overseeing the races again this year, and also to Wendy for the much sort after post-run cakes!!

A very small team are going to Bury St Edmonds to run the Tarpley 20 Sunday, good luck to them- results please when recovered!

Keith, Chairman & Halstead Marathon race director, would like to remind everyone who is planning to run the marathon they need to enter via the usual methods soon so he can start to put together our special ’20’ running vests for the day. Hope training is going well!

Its been just over a week since the launch of the new website and I have had nothing but good comments about it. I hope the formats are easy enough to use and navigate through. A good feature you may not be aware of is via the calendar page, if you are interested in signing up for a particular race on the calendar, click on it and if there is a facility to sign up online for this race click on ‘ Buy tickets’ and this will take you directly to their sign up page.

Remember, if you are running a race, want to advertise a race, want to tell the Club about anything please use the contacts page and send a message. It will go straight to the necessary people who can respond.

Reminder: Braintree Track Session this week- Do Not go to the club!
