Boxted is a village and civil parish in the north east of Essex, England approximately 6 miles north of Colchester – close to junction 28 on the A12. The village comprises pockets of residential areas surrounded by mainly arable farmland. The River Stour flows through the village and delineates the boundary between Essex and Suffolk. Old Boxted falls within Dedham Vale, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village boasts a church, a primary school, a social club, village hall, sports pavilion and vineyard. Within the community there is a keen equine interest.
All of the courses are undulating out and back, 60% on country roads around Boxted incorporating sections on country tracks and paths around the course. There will be marshals positioned at all road junctions and key points around the course. Please obey their instructions at all times. There will be water stations on the 5k and 10k Course and at the end of all races. Registration and Race bib collection will be from 8:00 at the School Hall, please note registration closes 30 minutes before the race start.
10 minutes before the race start, make your way to the start point and line up behind the chip timing mats.
