Great Bentley and the Bog-gle

The Great Bentley Half Marathon is a popular race as the flat course offers excellent conditions for those hoping for a personal best. This year’s race was no exception with Rosie Atkins, Jonathan Buist, Tom Porter and Heidi Worf all improving on previous times and Wesley Atkins and Leigh-Anne Porter racing the distance for the first time.

Caroliena Cameron completed her first half marathon in many years and was thrilled to cross the line with her club mates Rosie Atkins and Kathryn Bronson (team photo from Bentley Half courtesy of Hazel Buist).

This weekend also saw the fourth running of the Braintree Bog-gle Trail Marathon on a muddy route through the villages around the town. Sarah Frost, fast gaining a reputation as a keen off road runner, improved on her previous running of this race by 25 minutes. Andy Wilmot and Dan Smith added to their impressive tally of marathons.
