Lamarsh Trail Run

(organised by Halstead Road Runners)

General information

The Lamarsh Tail run starts and finishes will be within the delightful grounds of Shrubs Farm, which hosts the annual summer fete for the small north Essex village of Lamarsh. There will be signs out on the day directing motorists to the fete. The fete includes various stalls, games, teas, dog show, barbeque and bar, which are then available to returned runners and their supporters. The fete is a bit of old-fashioned fun suitable for all the family.

The route has been carefully chosen for clear paths, ease of navigation and scenic appeal. Other than the normal perils of cross country running, there are no particular, outstanding, risks. Some minor lanes are used, but there is only very light traffic. The terrain is undulating and the half-marathon route, in particular, is a tough, but lovely, run. Bring your own water bottle – top ups available on the course.

All proceeds go to support Lamarsh parish church and village hall funds.

Start and finish at Shrubs Farm, Lamarsh, Bures, Essex CO8 5EA – Ordnance Survey grid reference TL891351 – (with sat nav use CO8 5EP – best access to farm via private road alongside house ‘Hewitts’).
