RAYNEDEER RUN
Hare and Tortoise returned on Sunday with a 6 hour challenge event. Taking place on the flitch way and allowing runners to set their own targets and challenge themselves. The sometimes up, sometimes down and sometimes almost flat route is traffic-free and on hard-packed trail. The loops were 5.3km in distance and runners needed to do 4 for a half marathon and 8 laps to cover full marathon distance. After his tough race the day before Aidan Kelly was back out running 4 laps totalling a half marathon. Setting himself the challenge of running a half marathon every month in 2022 this race completed his personal challenge. He clocked 1:46:55 finishing 1st place out of 20 runners.
Andy Wilmot was also taking part and opted to run the full 8 laps making this his 826th marathon. He had a comfortable run and finished in 5:41.
