John Warne ran the White Peaks Marathon. Conditions were ideal. He finished in 4:37:35 which was 10 minutes quicker than his time in the same race last year and his fastest marathon this year.
Mick Purkiss ran in the Baddow 10. He completed it in 1:44:21. The course was hilly and conditions were humid.
The Colchester Stampede 10k saw a large contingent of Halstead Road Runners take part. The race started and finished in the zoo. Again the course was a bit hilly with some tight sections around the zoo.
Phil Jeffries was first home for Halstead in a time of 46:32 which was a PB for him.
Treena Carder was next in with another PB of 49:41.
Lisa Clarke completed it in 50:42 which was also another PB for her.
Ross Kemble came in at 50:59 which is his faster 10k in 5 years.
Emma Healy completed her first 10k in 51:08 closely followed by Victoria Metson in a PB of 51:36.
Anthony Denton completed it in 55:33 which was another PB.
Charlii Bower also got a PB of 56:16.
Suzie Arthy-Gasser came in at 56:57 in her first 10k race followed by Adrian Gasser in 57:19.
Jenn Langely got a PB of 1:00:03.
Catherine Owen completed her first 10k in 1:02:50.
Sara Burnham came in at 1:00:28.
Mel Candler, Meg Hollinshead and Rosie Atkins took part in the Nuclear Rush 12k race getting thoroughly muddy and completing it in 3:36:00.
