Halstead Road Runners have been out in force again this weekend at a variety of races.
James Smith travelled to Newbury to take part in the 10k race there which was a multi terrain race with roughly half the course being off road. He finished 10th overall in a time of 0:37:53.
Stuart Ashworth took part in the Burnham on Crouch 10k which was also a mixed terrain race, including a very windy sea wall. He completed it in 0:44:04.
Lisa Rodbourn travelled to Liverpool to complete the Liverpool Half Marathon. Conditions were wet and windy but she finished in 2:00:30.
Treena Carder, Phil Jeffries, Caroliena Cameron and Kris Bell took part in the Mayflower Half Marathon which is a trail run from Harwich to Manningtree following the Essex Way. Conditions were muggy. Kris completed it in 2:00:00, with Caroliena coming in next with 2:05:00. Treena and Phil completed it in 2:08:00.
The Vitality London 10,000 took place on Bank holiday Monday. The route starts in the Mall and heads east into the city before looping back along the Strand to finish outside Buckingham Palace. Steve May completed it in 0:41:18 and got himself a photo with the running legend Mo Farah. Richard Tiller and Sarah Frost both completed it in 1:00:00 and Charlotte May finished in 1:08:59.
The biggest turnout was for the Hatfield Broad Oak 10k. This is a very popular 10k around pretty country lanes and festivities in the village after the race.
Jim Clarke got a PB completing it in 0:39:09.
Rachel Roughan was first Halstead lady back with a time of 0:45:31.
Ross Kemble got a PB of 0:50:30.
John Warne was next in for Halstead as 7th in M65 category in a time of 0:53:19.
Anthony Denton came in next with a PB of 0:53:27 alongside Phill Jeffries in the same time.
Treena Carder completed it in 0:54:45.
Daniel Roughan completed it in 0:55:37.
Adrian Gasser finished in 0:58:01.
Jenn Langley came in with a time of 1:00:16.
