Another great weekend of running, with a variety of distances and courses.
PARKRUN
Laurence Gowers continued his excellent form at Great Notley Park run on Saturday.
He finished in 7th place out of a field of 334 parkrunners and came first in his age category with a new PB of 19:40. Well done Laurence.
BILBAO NIGHT RUN FEST
Caroliena Cameron headed to Spain for the Bilbao Night Run Fest half marathon, joining a huge crowd of 27,000 runners! A busy course made it tricky to find a rhythm, but she crossed the finish line in 2:05. After a long time out with injury it’s great to see her back out running again!
EDEN HALF MARATHON
Sam Hillyard took on the Eden Half Marathon in Cornwall. A hilly, multi terrain route. It was a tough challenge with some stunning scenery along the way. Sam finished in 2:33.54. Well done!
YORK MARATHON
Stewart Ellis took on the York Marathon, tackling an undulating course through York and the surrounding villages. He held pace with the sub 3 hour pacer until mile 20, before hitting the wall and finishing in 3 hours and 21 minutes. A tough run but a great effort!
CABBAGE PATCH 10
It was Aidan Kelly’s second outing at the Cabbage Patch 10. The flat route starts from Twickenham, near the Cabbage Patch pub, and continues along the river.
Aidan was very happy with a new PB, knocking 37 seconds off to clock 1.16.34.
