HRR had 4 runners out flying the flag on Sunday at the ‘Benfleet 15’ race.
The Benfleet 15 is a challenging 15 mile multi terrain course which takes in sections of the Canvey Island Sea Wall, and the Hadleigh Downs.
Representing the ladies was Keely Jordan and Lisa Rodbourn. Keely had an outstanding race finishing in 9th place out of 219 ladies in a time of 02.04 and securing herself a gold medal (given to the top ten finishers in both male and female categories.)
Lisa also had a brilliant race finishing in 111th place out of 219 ladies. She was 19th out of 54 in her age category, in a time of 02.40 which is a course PB .
Representing the men was Steve May and Rob Frost. Steve describing the race as ‘mud, hills and headwinds’ ran a strong race and finished in a time of 01.59 placing 88th out of 402 men. Rob Frost also had a great run finishing in 02.17 and placing 210th out of 402 men.
