Andy Wilmot defended his age group category crown in Saturday's Kent Road Runner Marathon. The 20 lap popular event held at Gravesends Cyclopark attracts a large field of athletes. Karl Hillman raced to a new 10k PB at Sunday's High Easter 10k road race. Running strongly from the start, Karl finished in an impressive time of 47:44. Karl Hillman 47:44 PB Halstead's Dan Hollinshead took on Saturday mornings Maldon 5k parkrun. The fast picturesque course took Dan just 21:12 to complete with Dan finishing 17th out of 269 runners. Sunday's glorious sunshine shone on the Halstead & Essex Marathon. Now in its 22nd year this award winning race, organised by the Halstead Road Runners, saw over 600 athletes compete over a 26.2 mile course on the country roads surrounding Halstead. Essex 20 Bob Langley took 1st place in his V60 age group in Sundays Essex 20 Championship race. Bob made light work of the 20 mile course to finish in 2:25:37.
