Felstead 10k

The Summer Stumble took place on Saturday. This is a 10 mile run from the Wivenhoe Black Buoy along the Wivenhoe trail, over the river down to The Albion in Rowhedge and back again. A drink must be consumed at the start in the Black Buoy, half way at The Albion and at the finish back at the Black Buoy. A 5 mile option is available which turns round at the bridge. Treena Carder, Phil Jeffries and Adrian Gasser took part in the 10 mile race.

Felsted 10k took place on Sunday which is always a popular race with Halstead Road Runners. Conditions were warm but there was some great running from the Team.

James Smith, Gavin Allen and Tom Porter took second place in the Men’s Team at the event.

James Smith finished in 0:35:59 coming 7th overall.

Gavin Allen finished in 0:36:32 in 13th place.

Tom Porter finished in 0:39:13 which was a new PB for him.

Paul Hinsley came in next in 0:45:55

Rachael Roughan was the first lady home for Halstead in 0:46:48

Treena Carder came in at 0:50:33

Victoria Metson finished in 0:51:48

Mandy Humm finished in 0:52:16

Phil Jeffries finished in 0:53:13

Anthony Denton and Dan Roughan ran together finishing in 0:53:31 which was a PB for Dan.

John Warne finished in 0:55:12
