Penny Clarke took part in Day 2 and day 3 of the Tour of Terling. Day 2 was the 5 mile navigators trail. Penny finished in 54.55 which included a 15 minute bonus taken off her time for finding all 5 clippers that were hidden in bushes !
Day 3 was a 4.5 mile run which involved wading through a ford twice, if you didn’t then time penalties were incurred. Penny went for the ford with a huge smile on her face and her finish time was 46.50.
Brilliant running and Fantastic pictures Penny!
CLACTON HALF
Sunday was a hot day to be running and we had one roadrunner at Clacton half marathon. This half is a race down the picturesque Clacton promenade, the course is a flat out and back. Bec was running on the back of taking her turn in the Sible fire 24 hour event the evening before, where she ran a hilly 5.8 miles. The heat however, got the better of her on Sunday and she experienced sickness at miles 5 and 8. Bec dug deep and still finished in a solid time of 2:10. A great effort in tough conditions. Big well done Bec.
