WINDSOR SPRINT TRIATHLON
Hayley Lamkin took on the Windsor sprint triathlon on Sunday.
Starting with a swim in the River Thames, triathletes then rode a bike route that headed through the streets of Windsor, passed Windsor Castle, and then out into the surrounding countryside. To complete their challenge, participants then ran into Windsor Great Park and along the Long Walk. Hayley completed the 0.75km swim in 09:02, the 22km bike ride in 44:12 and the 5km run in 20:09. Her overall time was 1:21.41. She finished 114 out of 636, was 20th female out of 271 and took 4th place in her age group. Absolutely brilliant result for Hayley.
SOUTHEND HALF MARATHON
HRR had two taking on the fast, flat, traffic free Southend half marathon on Sunday.
The weather was warm but with a strong headwind on both laps. Chris Lloyd had a great run finishing in 1:27.02 and getting himself a 30 second PB. After struggling in the heat last year, Sandy Maloy returned to take it on once again. She enjoyed the race and was pleased to finish in 2:24.26.
VICTORIA PARK 10k
Enjoying the pleasant, flat, tree lined course,  a huge well done to Lauren Ripton who was running her longest race in quite sometime. She finished in 1:13.02.
Well done to all!
