HIGH EASTER 10K
The popular High Easter 10K takes runners along the rural country lanes around High Easter. We had two HRR taking it on this year. Another great run from Karen Pickering, she  finished in 40:06 and was 3rd lady home. John Warne completed the race in 58:45 which was a course PB for him.
BARROW MARATHON
Andy Wilmot took part in ‘The Valley Of The Owls’ marathon at Barrow running centre on Sunday. The route is a challenging two-lap course with  hilly terrain, tree roots, and a mile of woodland running. Andy completed his 860th marathon in 6:36.
CHEDDAR GORGE HALF MARATHON
The Cheddar Gorge half marathon is challenging yet scenic, with elevation of 1854 feet. Aidan Kelly took on the challenge and completed in 2.43.55.  Well done Aidan!
MEC TRAIL
The Museum of Power MEC Trail Run is a 3.7-mile trail race that offers a mix of terrain. Treena Carder and Phil Jeffries ran their first race together as husband and wife and finished in joint first place in 40:43.
COMRADES MARATHON
The Comrades Marathon is an ultramarathon of approximately 88 kilometres (55 mi) which is run annually in South Africa between the cities of Durban and Pietermaritzburg. It is the world’s largest and oldest ultramarathon race. The direction of the race alternates each year between the “up” run (87.6 km) starting from Durban (elevation: 101 metres) and the “down” run (89.98 km) starting from Pietermaritzburg (elevation: 921 metres).
HRR’s Paul Hinsley took on the Down Run on Sunday. An incredibly tough race he completed in 11:11. We look forward to hearing more about his experiences in the next few days.
Absolutely fantastic running Paul.
Well done all.
