HALSTEAD & ESSEX MARATHON, SUNDAY 12th MAY 2019

The Halstead Road Runners need your help, please, as marshals, water station teams and other vital assistants for this year’s 25th Halstead & Essex Marathon. Over the years we’ve had an enormous amount of help from running clubs, local organisations, family and friends.

As you’ll know, it is a bit of a commitment. Most marshals and water station staff will be out on the course for a few hours. It’s a similar story for those helping out at HQ (Halstead Leisure Centre). As a token of our appreciation we’ll give you a good quality commemorative tee shirt and plenty of warm thanks. The main reward is supporting county athletics and being part of what must be one of the friendliest marathons around. Readers of Runners’ World consistently vote Halstead among the best marathons nationally. An enjoyable time is guaranteed. Your help makes possible donations of many thousands of pounds to deserving local charities each year. To clubs or groups who are able to take on an entire water station, we offer up to five free marathon entries.

If you and friends/family can help, please confirm as soon as possible your contact details, including an on the day mobile phone number, indicating what you’d be willing to do – perhaps the same as last year.
