Some big races have been undertaken by Halstead Road Runners this weekend.
Nathan Roulson took on the massive challenge of running the TP100. This is a 100 mile race along the Thames Path from Richmond to Oxford starting on Saturday 8th May. Nathan completed it in a time of 22:56:00. He came in 73rd place. 272 people started the race but only 188 finished.
The Bury to Clare race took place on Sunday 9th May. This is an 18 mile linear run across the Suffolk countryside. There were 262 competitors. Stephen Metson came in 9th place overall, 3rd in the M35 category, in a time of 2:30:00. Mike Smith came in just behind him in 10th place, 4th in M35 category, in a time of 2:33:10. Ben Brown completed it in 2:52:06, coming 33rd overall but 5th in the M40 category. Darren Powell completed it in 3:00:59, 49th overall and 6th in the M50 category. Ross Kemble completed it in 3:27:28 coming 99th, 14th in the M35 category.
In other races over the last couple of weeks Andy Wilmot completed another marathon on the 1st May at the Suffolk running centre in a time of 5:29:00.
Penny Clarke ran the Two Castles trail half marathon on 2nd May in 3:33:08.
The Layer 5m trail run took place on the 25th April. Will Tuson ran it in 0:35:55, Treena Carder ran it in 0:44:57, Anthony Denton in 0:46:18 and Phil Jeffries, carrying an injury, ran it in 1:06:39.
