This Sunday saw the first big road race for a long time. 1384 participants took part in the Colchester Stampede 10k and Halstead Road Runners were out in force. The course starts in the zoo and then runs out around closed run coming back in through the zoo to finish.
Michael Smith stormed home first for Halstead in a PB of 0:40:36. He came 8th in the M35 category and 52nd overall.
Stephen Metson came in next in another PB of 0:41:05. He came 9th in the M35 category and 56th overall.
Will Tuson came in at 0:43:55 finishing 7th in the M45 category.
Phil Jeffries finished in 0:48:30 finishing 28th in the M40 category.
Ross Kemble was close behind in 0:48:39 finishing 34th in the M35 category.
John Warne completed in 0:52:08 coming 2nd in the M65 category.
Lisa Clarke finished in 0:52:44, 17th in the W35 category, closely followed by Treena Carder in 0:52:54, coming 10th in the W45 category.
Megan Hollinshead finished in 0:57:07.
Anthony Denton finished in 0:57:41.
Jenny Smith got a PB of 1:00:13
Lizzie Griffiths completed in 1:05:39.
