Maurice Young made his return to racing after a year’s layoff due to a succession of ailments. Young took on the Bedford Autodrome Sprint Duathlon, the last qualification race for next year’s European Championships 80+ age group. Despite constant rain, with the track awash in places, he was happy to finish the 5k run, 20k bike and 2.5k run in 1:57.
John Warne and his daughter Sara did their first 5k tough mudder on Saturday at Clapham Common. The event was great fun and included 12 challenges.
