What better way to see the old year out and start the new year off…. (if of course you’re a runner!!). We had a team of long distance lovers at the Flitch way half and full marathon on New Years Eve.
Taking on the full marathon for the ladies were Penny Clarke and Rachael Roughan, a tough race and great running from both with Rachael finishing 2nd lady in 3:55:42 and Penny in 5:55:42. For the men and running his 827th marathon was Andy Wilmot who finished in 5:38:54.
Running the half marathon were Perry James, Anoushka Springett, Ross Kemble, Hannah Whale and Dan Roughan. All enjoyed a steady pace and a sociable run. Perry finished in 2:03:32, Noush in 2:04:08, Ross in 2:05:07. Dan and Hannah ran together crossing the line in 2:25.
