Inclusion Policy

Health & Safety
This policy gives practical information and clear expectations of runner safety during HRR training for their own safety and the safety of others, enabling the Run Leader and runners to work in partnership. This policy applies to all members, irrespective of age, experience or local knowledge. It remains the responsibility of each runner to keep themselves safe. MORE INFO.

Photography
It is recognised that members of the club and public will often want to take photographs or record video footage at training and events, on cameras and mobile devices, to celebrate successes and promote the club. These may be published internally, such as posted on the club Facebook page and WhatsApp groups or externally on the club website, local press and promotional materials. MORE INFO.

Social Media
Social networking sites such as, but not exclusively, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, and Twitter are a useful way for keeping in touch with friends, family and club members. Members must not forget that what they post on social networking sites may be seen across these networks and are reminded that they must not bring Halstead Road Runners into disrepute or cause discomfort or any distress to another member. For any personal data you provide for the purposes of your membership, HRR is the Data Controller and is responsible for storing and otherwise processing that data in a fair, lawful, secure and transparent way. Adult Safeguarding Policy
Most adults are able to live their lives safely and free from harm. However, for some, there may be times when, for a variety of reasons, their ability to keep themselves safe and protect their wellbeing and rights is compromised. England Athletics Codes of Conduct
Every club, club member and anyone undertaking a relevant role must agree to abide by the codes of conduct either when they join a club as part of the club application process, or when they renew their club membership or UKA licence. MORE INFO.

Club Grievance and Disiplinary Policy
All concerns, allegations or reports of malpractice or abuse relating to the welfare of children or vulnerable adults will be recorded and responded to swiftly and appropriately in accordance with the Club’s and England Athletics’s safeguarding policy and procedures.
