The Summer Stumble took place on Saturday. This is a 10 mile run from the Wivenhoe Black Buoy along the Wivenhoe trail, over the river down to The Albion in Rowhedge and back again. Maurice Young competed in the Targu Mures ETU Sprint distance European Championships in the 85 to 89 year old category. He completed the 5k run, 20k bike, 2.5k run in 1:55:07. Once again Halstead Road Runners have been wandering far and wide to various races of all kinds. Stewart Ellis ran in the Newmarket 10k. The course was extremely undulating with a tough 3k uphill finish. Stewart finished 19th overall in a time of 0:40:22. Jo Roulson competed in the Gosfield Triathlon and finished in a time of 1:36:08.
