HRR didn’t let the weather stop them this weekend. There were all sorts of training runs going on and a couple of Christmassy events taking place.
THE 12 WOODS OF CHRISTMAS
Phil Jeffries took on the Charity Trail run, The 12 Woods of Christmas, on Saturday. The course was a muddy, hilly, 10k route through the woods. Phil finished in 1:09.40.
RAYNEDEER RUN
The Raynedeer Run marked its 8th year on Sunday, with runners braving a very wet and soggy Flitch Way to complete as many 5.3 km loops as possible on the traffic-free trail.
Despite the wind and rain there were 4 members flying the flag for HRR.
Penny Clarke ran a very impressive 7 loops, a total of 23 miles.
Running 4 loops, Gary Wiles finished in 2:20.12 and Jane Roach in 2:33.23.
Katie De Bourcier completed 3 laps to run over 15km, (9miles) her longest run yet, in 2:02.
They were rewarded with a very large, Christmas themed medal! We all know that makes everything worth it!!
