HIGH EASTER 10k
Lisa Clarke was the only Halstead Road runner to compete in this race which was a lovely course, mostly flat. She completed it in a PB of 53:37.
PLOVDIV MARATHON
Ivan Filchev and Nathan Roulson travelled to Ivan’s home town of Plovdiv, Bulgaria to undertake the marathon where conditions were warm and humid. Unfortunately Ivan was ill for the three days preceding the race with a high temperature so was unsure if he would be able to run but his temperature came down just in time for the race. Bolstered by a pasta meal he lined up with the other competitors and completed his debut marathon in a time of 3:42:34, coming 58th overall amateur. Nathan Roulson has come back from a calf injury and completed the marathon in 3:24:32 coming 21st overall amateur and 8th in the M41+ category.
MAY DAY 10, WITHAM
Stewart Ellis ran 1:12:13 coming 42nd overall.
Lisa Clarke ran her second race of the weekend completing it in 1:23:32 which was another PB knocking 8 minutes off her last PB.
