With the London Marathon less than a week away we have a few lucky souls who managed to secure places in the iconic event. So let’s meet our lucky runners.
Hazel Buist – aged 32 years old, running her 4th marathon. Hazel’s put in months and miles of training and is pushing for a sub 4 hour marathon, not only that she’s hoping to raise £1,200 for ‘Help me Hear’
Keith Thorogood – our very own marathon race director aged 64, running his 45th marathon with a previous best of 3:43, however hoping to finish in 4:30
Mike Grealy – aged 60, Mike will be starting at the Green start having previously qualified ‘good for age’. This will be Mikes 6th marathon with times ranging from 3:35 to 3:46
Glynn Stone – aged 45, Glynn will be running his 5th marathon and hoping for a time of 3:30
Nicole Smith – aged 44, this will also be Nicole’s 5th marathon having previously run London in 2012 where she recorded her rather brilliant PB of 4:29:13. Nicole is hoping to beat that time having trained hard over recent months
Andy Wilmot – aged 71, Andy didn’t take up marathon running until after his 40th birthday however since that time he’s racked up over 650 marathons and ultras. Another ‘good for age’ qualify Andy will be hoping for a finish of around 4 hours.
