Great conditions for trail running today with several of us at the Mersea Mix, organised by Essex Trail Events. The longer race was advertised at 9 miles but came up as 8.63m on my watch. Keely was once again first back for HRR in 1:14:07 and 7th place, followed by Andy Carter 12th in 1:19:41, just 2 seconds ahead of 13th placed Simon Smith in 1:19:43. Jane Roach finished 61st in 2:18:16. In the shorter 5.2 mile race, Treena Carder had to pull out after a mile and a half with a troublesome achilles so Phil Jeffries raced ahead to finish 6th in 50:12, followed by a trio of HRR ladies, Wendy Carter, Lorraine Garnham and Lisa Rodbourn 10th, 11th and 12th in 53:30
