The SVP50/100 took place this Saturday 15th August. This is a 50/100km ultra run from Newmarket (100km Start) or Sudbury (50km Start) to Brantham along the Stour Valley Path. The course is pretty tough with the majority being off road and hilly. Halstead Road Runner Nathan Roulson undertook the 100km event. Nathan looked strong throughout and completed the race finishing in 18th place in 11:36:40.
Four Halstead Road Runners took part in the 50km race. Stephen Metson came in 28th place in a time of 5:16:28. Phil Jeffries, Ross Kemble and John Warne ran together and completed it in 7 hours and 50 minutes.
