Two of our trail loving members took on ‘The East Hanningfield trail marathon’ on Sunday, a narative trail race which followed a circular route arround the village of Danbury. It was a 95% off road route on a wide variety of terrain. The course was very muddy but the rain held off, and there was even a little sunshine for the runners to enjoy.
Nathan Roulson was pleased to run 20 minutes faster than last year in similar conditions under foot. He was unable to catch overall winner Matt Jordan who led from the start but had a great race and claimed 2nd place for the men.
Keely Jordan was back in top form and ran another fantastic race taking 1st place for the ladies in a time of 4:19. Superb running from both!
