CHASE THE SUN 10k
HRR had 2 runners making the most of a Wednesday night racing opportunity last week, in the grounds of London Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The flat and fast course was the perfect opportunity to chase a good time.
Ben Ryder was in exceptional form finishing in 5th place in a PB time of 36:51.
Aidan Kelly was running for the Met police athletics club, he finished in a brilliant time of 48:06.
MARATHON MAN
Andy Wilmot has been busy this week, running two marathons.
He took on the Fairlands valley challenge last Sunday which is an off road, self navigated marathon through the picturesque Hertfordshire countryside around Stevenage. A tough route to navigate he finished in 6:36 ticking off marathon number 833.
On Saturday he ran the first of four marathons at Suffolk running centre. It was a two lap course and Andy finished marathon number 834 in 5:43.
Suffering with a slight knee injury, Andy will decide if he goes ahead to complete the other three marathons in the next week.
