A relatively quiet weekend of racing this week. Perhaps everyone is recovering from the past few weeks ….

WILLOW TREE WANDER
Starting and finishing at The willow tree cafe, Glemsford this was a 6.2 mile self navigational trail run. With a jacket potato and chilli included in the entry fee, it was a perfect Wednesday evening treat! Ross Kemble and Steve Fellows completed the pretty trail run in 1 hour 10 minutes only getting lost a couple of times!!

FRIDAY 5
The Friday 5 is a popular series of six open races, held across Suffolk and Essex between May and July. Each one is approximately 5 miles in length. Treena Carder was our only roadrunner at the Sudbury 5 on Friday evening, battling some big hills she was pleased with her run and crossed the line in 43:19.

BACKYARD ULTRA
Of course we had Nathan Roulson taking on the immense challenge of the Suffolk Backyard Ultra over the weekend, where 203 entries are whittled down to just one person over multiple days of running. Nathan blew us all away with his efforts and we will hear more from him in detail once he’s fully rested and recovered. Massive well done Nathan!
