This weekend Sam Hillyard travelled to Malaga to take on the marathon there in warm conditions. She completed it in a time of 3:55:32.
The next fixture in the Essex Cross Country League took place this weekend at Writtle. The Women fielded a strong team of eight with the first four finishing to score for a team. The Men fielded a team of five but needed six to score for a team. The Womens team came in 4th place and are now in 1st place overall in Division 2. The Mens team came in 11th place and are now in 10th place overall in Division 1. The Women also scored in the Vets category with a team coming in 13th place now in 14th place overall.
In the Individual positions Rachael Roughan is in 6th place in the Senior Womens category, Wendy Carter is in 3rd place in the V50 category and Dan Roughan is in 16th place in the Senior Mens category.
