The annual Boxing Day 5 Mile in Witham took place on a flat, looped road course, providing ideal conditions for strong performances and end-of-year racing.
HRR were represented by Stewart Ellis, Jenny Smith and Laura Smith.
It was a strong run from Stewart. He finished in 29:42, in 18th place and 6th in his age category.
Laura had a fantastic run, with her consistent training paying off, she took four minutes off last year’s time to record an excellent PB of 39:47.
Jenny, currently marathon training for Seville in February and London in April (after winning the club place), used the race as a controlled training run and finished in 48:12, pleased with her effort.
