Essex Trail Events organised a very well attended event on Monday 29th December with several Halstead Road Runners taking part. All distances required competitors to follow a written route description that took them along quiet country roads, public bridleways and footpaths in the beautiful countryside around Felsted.
55 runners completed the half marathon distance with Caroliena Cameron 22nd, in 2 hours 19 mins 7 seconds. Bradley Doe who is a 2nd claim HRR member ran with Caroliena, recording the same time.
The more popular 7 mile distance saw 89 finishers with Andy Carter placing 7th in 1:02:36 closely followed by Phil Jeffries in 9th with 1:03:44. Husband and wife David and Tracy English ran together to finish 14th, in 1:10:52.
Another 2nd claim HRR was Keely Jordan who came 2nd with her regular running partner in 56:15.
