Another sunshine filled Sunday made for warm racing conditions.
STORT 5 AND 10
Now in its 39th year, the Stort 10 and 5 Mile takes place each May at Cammas Hall Farm on the outskirts of Hatfield Broad Oak. It is a popular trail race on private farmland across the Essex countryside. It offers a flat course, although the terrain is rough with woods and narrow footpaths. HRR had 5 taking part.
STORT 5
Phil Jeffries finished the 5 mile in 17th position overall and in a time of 40:56. It’s great to see Lisa Clark back running, she finished in 47:58. Jane Roach enjoyed her run in the sun , she crossed the line in 51:49. Very close behind was Treena carder finishing in 52:21.
10 MILE
Maryann sycamore loves the longer miles and this particular race, she ran well crossing the line in 1:49:34. John Warne completed in 1:57:07 and was glad to finish in under 2 hours.
PC GUNN FUN RUN
Aidan Kelly took part in the PC Gunn fun run at Guildford. An annual 5k run in memory of an officer who died on duty in 2004. The run raises money for Flint House, a rehabilitation centre for injured Police Officers.
