HRR had a few out racing this weekend and whilst it was sunshine for some, it wasn’t so much for others! That said, spring does seem to finally be on its way!
MALTA MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON
Four runners from HRR jetted off to sunnier climes on Sunday to take part in the 2026 Malta Marathon. Starting in the ancient city of Mdina, the route takes runners across the country finishing by the harbour in Silema.
First home for Halstead was Perry James with an incredible run finishing in 3:24 – a 23 minute PB.
After a disrupted training block and not feeling great on the day, Ross Kemble pushed through and finished in 4:56.
In the Half Marathon, Caroliena Cameron was taking part for the third time in Malta. This year she persevered throughout the race finishing in 1:55.
Val Kerrison finished the Half Marathon distance in 2:42. For Val it was a particularly proud moment as it was her longest run for a few years.
WOKINGHAM HALF MARATHON
Not so much sunshine for Matt Thomas at the Wokingham Half marathon on Sunday. He ran it as part of his London marathon training finishing in 1:20:48, a 10 second PB.
Great running and Well done to all.
