After a busy weekends racing last week it was slightly quieter this weekend, but HRR still had a few out and about.

MET POLICE XC LEAGUE
Aidan Kelly ran in the last fixture of the Met Cross Country League at Trent Park on Saturday. Running in the men’s VETs team and being just 2 points from the top of Division 3 they needed a big effort to finish top and get promotion to Division 2. They did it and Aidan was proud to be part of the team. Excellent running Aidan!

HARE and TORTOISE
‘Rayne’ ing medals anniversary run. We had two roadrunners taking part in this event along the Flitch Way on Sunday. The race started at the Booking Hall cafe and runners could choose to run loops in either direction along the Flitch. Each loop was 5.3km in distance and runners needed 2 loops for 10k, 4 loops for half marathon, 8 loops for a full marathon or could continue running for the full 6 hours. John Warne was once again racing after taking part in Great Bentley half last weekend. He managed 4 loops equating to a half marathon and his watch time was 2:13. Running with a head cold he took it easy but finished feeling good with a speedier last mile. After completing the Boggle trail marathon last weekend, Neil Addington was also back out and on it! Having had a heavy week training, Neil had a strong and steady run completing 19.74 miles in 4:05.

Well done to the boys
