LISBON MARATHON
Paul Hinsley opted for sunshine this weekend in Portugal. He took part in the Lisbon Marathon, billed as the most scenic marathon in Europe. Paul was glad of the overcast conditions, making the race more bearable. Taking in the spectacular views he finished in a great time of 3:41.
SOUTHEND 10k
We had three HRR taking on the flat, out and back, traffic-free 10k course along Southend seafront on Sunday. Hayley Lamkin having not raced a 10k in recent months was there to see what she could do. She had an incredible race finishing 1st lady and 34th overall out of 1,364. Pushing all the way Hayley got a 10k PB of 38:19. Victoria Metson has been training hard for this race and it certainly paid off when she finished with more than a 2 minute PB in a fantastic time of 47:07. Having also trained hard it wasn’t Emma’s race on Sunday. Realising it wasn’t going to happen early on, she finished in a solid time of 50:06.
