The Cambridge Half Marathon took place on Sunday, with the sunshine making the race more challenging than expected. The course, known for being flat and fast, weaved through the scenic streets of Cambridge.
HRR had a team of 9 taking on the challenge, and they all put in great performances. Leading the way for Halstead was Rachel Rising, finishing in an impressive 1:22:43. Hayley Lamkin followed closely behind, with a strong time of 1:26:34. Ben Brown crossed the finish line at 1:30:12, showing solid form throughout the race.
Nina Symington Smith ran alongside her sister, finishing together in 1:47:29. Victoria Metson pushed through the warmer conditions to complete the race in 1:56:04. Gareth Dyball broke the two hour mark, with a time of 1:58:42.
Mary Veater completed her third half marathon of the year with a time of 2:04:51, while Emma Healy marked her longest mileage in a long time, finishing in 2:05:52. Paul Gerrard used the race as a training run for the Manchester Marathon, finishing in 2:18:01.
A fantastic effort from all despite the challenging warm conditions. Well done to everyone who took part
