FRIDAY NIGHT 5 – FRAMLINGHAM
Loving the Friday Night 5 series, this week Simon Miller was at Framlingham. A warm evening meant a tougher run but Simon finished in a great time of 40:14. Well done!!
CULFORD TRIATHLON
There were 182 finishers at the Culford Triathlon, organised by Ipswich Tri Club. Athletes started with a 300m pool swim (12 lengths) followed by a 12.5 mile cycle and a 2.5 mile run. The cycle route was unfamiliar to all as a road closure resulted in a late change to an out and back course on the busy B1106 towards Elveden. Wendy Carter got off to a great start with a 7 minute 24 second swim time, followed by 47:05 on the bike and a 19:29 run time. With a total of 3:32 in transition she recorded a total time of 1:17:32, 120th overall, 38th out of 78 women and 2nd out of 7 in the FV60 category. Andy Carter recorded an 8:22 swim, 42:53 bike and a 19:20 run. With 3:26 in transition he recorded a total time of 1:14:04, 102nd overall, 76 out of 104 men and 1st out of 3 in the MV65 category. Fantastic results Team Carter!
