Rosie Atkins ran the Dedham 10k in 0:49:04 which is a new PB for her. Nicole Smith ran in the Sunset Chase 10k which is an off road race in the grounds of Ickworth House. She ran it in 0:56:33. Andy Wilmot ran Leilas Marathon which is an off road course in 4:57:00. A few HRR members took on the Mersea 5 and 10 races in extremely hot conditions. This weekend Stuart Ellis took part in the Velopark 10m race at the Olympic Park. The course is a 1 mile undulating circuit and conditions were wet. The Summer Stumble took place on Saturday. This is a 10 mile run from the Wivenhoe Black Buoy along the Wivenhoe trail, over the river down to The Albion in Rowhedge and back again. Maurice Young competed in the Targu Mures ETU Sprint distance European Championships in the 85 to 89 year old category. He completed the 5k run, 20k bike, 2.5k run in 1:55:07.
