Saturday morning saw the running of the Essex cross country relays at Weald Country Park near Brentwood. Halstead had 13 runners taking part in 4 teams over the 2 lap 6k course which had a couple of long, slow climbing hills on each lap. In near perfect weather for running with the ground soft underfoot there were good performances all round.
The teams were as follows
Lauren R, Emma H & Hayley L finishing 17/19 in the Senior women’s category.
Wendy C, Lorraine G &Treena C finishing 7/8 in the ladies V50 category.
Anton N, Simon S & Paul H finishing 7/9 in the male V60 category.
Bradley D, Steve M, Gav R & Wes A finishing 18/20 in the Senior men’s category.
